La iniciativa del Valle del Hidrógeno de Cataluña que impulsa la Universitat Rovira i Virgili, y a la que se une VEA GLOBAL BAC, liderará la transición energética en Cataluña. Este proyecto ya cuenta con más de 130 entidades público-privadas, lideradas por la propia Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Enagás y Repsol. Asimismo, esta alianza estratégica ya cuenta con más de 30 proyectos vinculados a los sectores químico, industrial y energético.
En consecuencia, el motor de esta transición energética será el hidrógeno verde, siendo el elemento clave en proyectos de descarbonización, química verde, movilidad, economía circular e infraestructuras.
Así el Valle del Hidrógeno de Cataluña, promoverá el desarrollo sostenible y la mejora del bienestar de la sociedad.
Esta iniciativa no solo mejorará la situación ambiental actual, sino que generará numerosos puestos de trabajo y reactivará parte de la economía española.
En consecuencia, el gobierno catalán ha considerado el proyecto como uno de los 27 más importantes para la recuperación económica, que tendrá grandes opciones de acceder a los fondos europeos Next Generation.
El presidente de la Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, afirmó que es un “proyecto transformador de país” y que mejorará la industria de Tarragona.
